Meeting Schedule

The Boone County Bluebird Society meets quarterly and the public is invited to attend. Meetings are usually held the first week of March, May, August and November, subject to change. Meetings are held at the Boone REMC Community Room (1207 Indianapolis Avenue, Lebanon, Indiana 46052), and sometimes other places around the county. Check the Boone County Bluebird Society Facebook page for the location of the next meeting.

Educational Programs

We are also available to give educational programs to interested clubs or groups. We have booths every year at the Master Gardeners GardenFest and Boone County Fair.

Bluebird Nests

When the female bluebird has built her nest, she lays one pale blue egg each day for five to seven days. The eggs hatch in about two weeks and baby birds leave the nest three weeks later. The male contin-ues to feed the fledglings while the female builds a new nest to start her second family of the season. Usually they have two nestings, sometimes three.
